Behind the Scenes of Real Worship 2025: The Journey Few See, But All Feel

As we count down to Real Worship 2025, we’re reminded that what the world sees on stage—the lights, the songs, the atmosphere of Christian worship—is just a glimpse of a much deeper, Spirit-led process that begins months before a single chord is struck. This is our spiritual journey.This year’s gathering, themed “Jesus” (Philippians 2:9–11), is already stirring anticipation and hunger for an authentic worship experience. But today, we want to honor the process, the people, and most importantly, the Presence of God that guides every step of our worship preparation behind the scenes.

A glimpse into what goes into preparing the event

It all begins with prayer

At Shalom House International Ministries, the host of Real Worship Canada, we are deeply committed to our dependence on God. For us, our prayer ministry is not just a part of preparation—it is the foundation. Each year, before any venue is booked or a guest minister is confirmed, we set time aside to seek God’s face through prayer. Weekly and bi-weekly intercessory sessions begin over six months in advance, covering everything from direction, location, weather, and funding, to the hearts of every attendee. We don’t move until we pray. And time and again, God has responded—guiding our choices, opening doors, granting favor, and releasing provision.
Strategic meetings and planning sessions

Coordinating an interdenominational worship gathering of this scale requires meticulous event planning and Spirit-led strategy. From budgeting to finalizing guest ministers, from venue logistics to local engagement, strategic ministry operations meetings are held at multiple levels. Each session is marked by intentionality and unity, ensuring that every detail for Real Worship Canada aligns with the vision God gave our founder, Pastor Samuel Oyeleke: to unite hearts, ignite revival, and transform Canada through worship.
Rehearsals: the levites prepare

The Real Worship Levites, our dedicated worship team, is a testimony of unity in diversity. Drawn from different churches, backgrounds, and ethnicities, these anointed vessels come together for one purpose: to lift the name of Jesus. Over three months of rehearsals go into their preparation, including prayerful study and scoring of songs by our guest ministers—so they can serve seamlessly as backup and support. But more than musical excellence, the team prays together, fasts together, and ministers to one another. Because Real Worship Canada is not a performance—it’s an offering of authentic worship.
Departments in motion

Real Worship Canada is only possible because of the selfless labor of many hands. Every department functions as a vital piece of the puzzle, led by capable and passionate individuals who serve with excellence and faith:
- Media & Publicity – spreading the word and sharing the vision
- Production & Technical – ensuring sound, visuals, and streaming are flawless
- Protocol & Ushering – creating a warm and orderly environment for guests
- Volunteers & Welfare – taking care of people, both on and off stage
- Registration Team – managing logistics, flow, and communications with grace

Venue setup: sound, multimedia & atmosphere

Creating the right environment for worship is both a spiritual and technical assignment. From state-of-the-art sound systems to immersive lighting and multimedia presentations, a tremendous amount of work goes into setting up the venue for Real Worship Canada.
- Lighting design enhances the worship experience without distraction.
- Multimedia screens help every worshipper follow the lyrics and engage fully.
- Audio setup ensures that every voice and instrument is balanced, crisp, and anointed.
- Stage design and décor reflect the reverence and joy we bring before the Lord.
It takes days of setup, multiple technical rehearsals, and coordination between vendors and volunteers to bring it all together. Yet when worship begins and the glory of God fills the room, it’s all worth it.

More than an event—a movement in motion

Behind every lifted hand and every tear shed in worship at Real Worship Canada, there is a process—a spiritual journey that has been bathed in prayer, marked by sacrifice, and carried by the grace of God. We believe these behind the scenes efforts are as sacred as what happens on stage—because they reflect hearts that long to see Jesus glorified and revival sweep across Canada.
