As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a government location, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment for all who visit and work in this important public space. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols throughout assigned areas, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and serving as a helpful resource for visitors and staff. Exceptional customer service and strong communication skills are essential, as you will interact with a diverse range of individuals daily. Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour

DayTimeMon12:00 PM - 06:00 PMTue12:00 PM - 06:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related incidents to the appropriate authorities and/or Allied Universal management.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential disturbances and provide reassurance to staff, visitors, and the public.
  • Assist visitors and employees with directions and general information as needed.
  • Follow all site-specific protocols and procedures to support security-related objectives within the location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
