Position Overview Analysis of game audio content and test execution throughout the PlayStation Studios Audio QA test process. Main Duties & Responsibilities Defect detection, diagnosis, and reporting. Understanding and executing PlayStation Studios QA test processes. Monitoring and updating defect tracking databases. Reporting on testing status or progress. Communicating directly with audio development teams to understand audio design intent. Using game engine based and audio middleware debug tools such as Wwise to diagnose and profile audio issues. Creating and executing test cases. Conducting on-site testing if applicable. Identifying, documenting, and escalating title risks. Adhering to PlayStation Studios QA standards of performance. Key Skills & Attributes Ability to interact appropriately within a team and with external studios. Understanding of audio terminology, both within and outside the context of the games industry. Clear and effective communication skills. Teamwork orientation. Openness and willingness to adapt to change. Ability to demonstrate the reasoning behind solutions (“why” and “how”). At SIE, base pay ranges are set considering market data, geographic location, and individual factors such as experience and skills.
