Position Summary

TRC is seeking a detail-oriented Electrical Estimator to support our growing operations in Milner, GA . The estimator will be responsible for interpreting technical drawings and specifications, collaborating across departments, and generating accurate and competitive cost estimates for fabrication, coatings, and electrical projects.

This is a critical role that bridges engineering, production, and customer engagement—ideal for someone with a strong manufacturing background and a keen eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities

• Review blueprints , drawings, and technical specifications to determine project scope, labor requirements, and materials

• Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates using tools such as Paperless Parts , Excel, and internal quoting systems

• Collaborate with managers in fabrication, coatings, electrical, and assembly departments to ensure alignment with production capabilities

• Identify appropriate materials, finishes (liquid, powder, e-coat), and manufacturing processes

• Support quoting and proposal efforts for custom industrial components , control panels, and fabricated assemblies

• Assist in evaluating supplier and subcontractor quotes for pricing accuracy

• Communicate effectively with engineering, project management, and clients to clarify scope and ensure estimate completeness

Preferred Skills & Experience

Proficiency in Excel and ability to work across multiple software platforms (ERP, estimating tools

• Experience with Paperless Parts or similar quoting software preferred

• Strong communication skills (written and verbal)

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings (Metric & Standard units)

• 2D/3D CAD experience a plus (for reviewing and validating technical designs)

Industry & Technical Background

Highly Preferred Experience:

Manufacturing processes including:
Coatings knowledge : powder coat, liquid paint, e-coat, or a-coat

Understanding of material types , tolerances, and industry standards

• Laser cutting

• Press brake operations

• Welding

• CNC Mill/Lathe

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (required)

• Technical training or degree in industrial engineering, manufacturing, or related field (preferred)

• 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing or fabrication estimating role strongly preferred
