Overview

Machine Learning Engineer - Personalization at Prime Video & Amazon MGM Studios. Prime Video is a first-stop entertainment destination offering customers a vast collection of premium programming in one app available across thousands of devices. Prime members can customize their viewing experience and find their favorite movies, series, documentaries, and live sports including Amazon MGM Studios-produced series and movies; licensed fan favorites; and programming from Prime Video add-on subscriptions. All customers can rent or buy titles via the Prime Video Store, and can enjoy content for free with ads.

Responsibilities

• Develop ML models for various recommendation & search systems using deep learning, online learning, and optimization methods
• Collaborate with scientists, engineers, and product managers to expand product insights with data and run experiments to identify high-impact projects for roadmaps
• Stay up-to-date with advancements and the latest modeling techniques in the field
• Publish research findings in top conferences and journals

Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years of building models for business applications
• PhD, or Masters degree with 4+ years of CS, CE, ML or related field experience
• Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language
• Experience in algorithms and data structures, parsing, numerical optimization, data mining, parallel and distributed computing, or high-performance computing

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using Unix/Linux
• Experience in professional software development

Compensation and Benefits

The base pay for this position ranges from $136,000/year to $223,400/year, depending on geographic market, knowledge, skills, and experience.
