Job Description

Our client, a leading manufacturing company, is seeking a Machinist to join their team. As a Machinist, you will be part of the production department supporting quality assurance efforts. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Machinist

Location: Clare, MI

What’s the Job?

· Set up and use machine equipment including CNC, milling, boring, drilling, tapping, threading, and lathes.

· Operates forklifts, overhead cranes, and hoists.

· Read, interpret, and utilize blueprints.

· Deburr parts and ensure quality checks have been done prior to sending parts to the next operation.

· Verifies work using machinist measurement tools like calipers, micrometers, etc.

· Maintain tight tolerances as required by engineering and customer specifications.

What’s Needed?

• Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school
• or six months to 1 year related experience and/or training

• Prior experience in CNC machine operation (milling, boring, drilling, tapping, threading and lathes) and programming of CNC machines
• Experience with measuring tools (micrometer, caliper)
• Blueprint reading experience
• Forklift, overhead crane and hoist experience
