Overview

Sr. Product Manager - Tech, Access Management Systems (AMS) at Amazon. We are open to hiring candidates to work out of Herndon, VA or Seattle, WA. AMS delivers internal cross-Amazon security solutions for access management and authorization across the Amazon portfolio, including AWS, Amazon.com, Kuiper, Twitch, Prime Video, MGM Studios, Whole Foods Market, and more. Security is our top priority, while enabling business agility, service availability, scale, and cost-to-serve.

AMS is looking for an experienced Senior - Product Manager Tech to help transform how we create and maintain access and authorization services across Amazon. You will participate in developing product roadmaps to execute on that vision. This role is cross-functional and cross-organizational. We seek a highly analytical, resourceful, customer-focused, team-oriented individual who can also work independently under time constraints to meet deadlines and has a proven track record of end-to-end ownership and delivering results in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Driving vision and direction act as the voice of the customer and form POVs with cross-functional input to keep functions focused and aligned to make fast progress toward goals.
• Driving due diligence assess multiple customer groups with varying needs and identify risks and opportunities impacting launch and customer experience (CX).
• Develop launch plans with internal stakeholders.
• Communicate progress to senior/executive leadership across multiple workstreams.
• Identify customer needs, define business requirements, and launch features that improve CX and value proposition.
• Manage new projects end-to-end and ensure high standards are met.
• Define and measure success through KPIs, adoption, cost-to-serve, and environmental impact where applicable.
• Drive technical product development in partnership with engineering and ensure early MLPs are designed to scale.
• Represent AMS strategic initiatives in senior leadership forums and planning documents.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
• Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
• Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
• Experience managing technical products or online services

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using analytics tools (e.g., Tableau, QlikView, QuickSight)
• Experience building and driving adoption of new tools

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,100/year to $235,200/year, with variations based on location and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company; equity, sign-on payments, and other benefits may be provided as part of a total compensation package.
